Program Description

The MBA in Cybersecurity will allow students to improve their business skills across a wide variety of disciplines while providing a deep examination of the growing field of cybersecurity. Cybersecurity protects networks, systems, and programs from digital attacks. These attacks usually aim to access, change, or destroy sensitive information, extort money from users, or interrupt normal business processes. Cyber security focuses on preventing and detecting unauthorized access to networks, computers, programs, and data, in addition to managing the impact of such attacks. This includes implementing security measures such as firewalls, encryption, intrusion detection, and prevention systems, as well as responding to incidents when they occur. The cybersecurity major in the MBA provides a four-course (12 hours) concentration in this growing field. The Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Cybersecurity includes the in-demand Google Cybersecurity Professional Certificate. The SEU MBA requires active employment throughout the program to provide essential real-world context for its advanced, case-study-driven curriculum. International students fulfill this mandatory practical application through Curricular Practical Training (CPT), which integrates theoretical knowledge with professional practice. Students without employment must secure a formal semesterly exception to receive alternate academic assignments.
